Origins of the Node
"The Alexandria Node" is a reference to the Great Library of Alexandria in ancient Egypt. It was one of the largest and most significant libraries of the ancient world, built with the goal of collecting all of humanity's knowledge in one place. Its tragic destruction is the ultimate historical symbol of lost knowledge.
By calling this app "The Alexandria Node," the branding implies:
Universal Knowledge
A place to store everything. The ambition of the ancients, realized through technology.
Redemption
Unlike the original library, which was centralized and flammable, this "Node" is decentralized on the blockchain. It is the unburnable library—a digital Alexandria that cannot be destroyed by fire, governments, or time.
"Civilization is the progress toward a society of privacy. The savage's whole existence is public, ruled by the laws of his tribe. Civilization is the process of setting man free from men."— Ayn Rand, The Fountainhead
